The Klein Collins Tigers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Tomball with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 31-17. Klein Collins pushed the score to 31-10 by the end of the third, a deficit Tomball cut but never quite recovered from.
Leading Klein Collins to victory were Tucker Parks and Michael Wilson. Parks threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, while Wilson picked up 148 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Wilson's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ka?jaun Gathers, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Although Tomball took the loss, they still got scores from Carter Noyes and Luke Riley.
Klein Collins' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Tomball, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Klein Collins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tomball will head out on the road to face off against Klein Cain at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Klein Cain's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
