After five games on the road, Clearwater is heading back home. They will take on the Classical Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Clearwater escaped with a win against the Jaguars by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53. That's two games straight that Clearwater has won by exactly one point.
Meanwhile, Classical put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Solomon 49-13 at home. 49 seems to be a good number for Classical as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Yost, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Maggie Neill, who scored 11 points.
Clearwater's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Classical, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Clearwater against the Saints in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 58-30 victory. Does Clearwater have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
