The Lancaster Legends gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed by Medina at home to the tune of 70-26. With Lancaster ahead 34-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Despite the defeat, Medina saw an underclassman step up: Preston Woodworth scored 14 points along with 3 steals. Woodworth scored a full 53.8% of Medina's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Medina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster will face off against The Park School of Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Medina will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against West Seneca East at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th.
