The Saddle Brook Falcons''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They managed a 20-14 win over Garfield. This was payback for Saddle Brook, who suffered a 19-12 loss the last time these two teams met.
Saddle Brook found their leader in underclassman Jayden Gatyas, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Dylan Cerciello was another key contributor, rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Saddle Brook's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 3.5 times. Leading the way was Luke Faber and his 2.5 sacks.
Saddle Brook's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Garfield, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
