Rockmart is 7-0 against Haralson County since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rockmart Yellowjackets' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Haralson County Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, Rockmart ended up a good deal behind Murray County and lost 65-51. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rockmart has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Rockmart got a solid performance out of Treylin Davis, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Davis hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Hunter Atkins, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Haralson County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gordon Central.
Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Haralson County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Rockmart against Haralson County when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 94-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockmart since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
