The St. Joseph Regional Green Knights lost against the Bergen Catholic Crusaders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. St. Joseph Regional was outmatched by the Crusaders on the road and fell 85-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Joseph Regional in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Green Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jahmir Joseph, who scored 17 points. Chaz Gray was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
St. Joseph Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bergen Catholic, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
St. Joseph Regional's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Crusaders on February 3rd. Bergen Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully the Green Knights like a good challenge. As for Bergen Catholic, they will face off against the Green Knights at TBD on Saturday. Hopefully St. Joseph Regional focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
