Lansing is 1-9 against Edison since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bobcats will host the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Edison will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Lansing extended their winning streak to four on Friday. Everything went the Bobcats' way against Dryden as they made off with a 13-1 win.
Reagan Chalupsky made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Chalupsky was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Piper Mason was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Liana Newman was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Edison's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Notre Dame a 7-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won eight in a row.
Like Lansing, Edison also got a great game from a two-way player: Kayla Rossi. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rossi has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tayler Burdick, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Hailey Clark, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Lansing's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Lansing has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Edison struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
