South Warren waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Central Hardin Bruins. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.

The team relied heavily on Jaxen Decker, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Rardin, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

South Warren's record now sits at 20-6. As for Central Hardin, they dropped their record down to 12-16 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, South Warren will take on Hazard in a tournament on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.5, the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Central Hardin, they will host Larue County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
