In what's become a running theme this season, the New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 65-42 margin over Walatowa Charter. The victory was just what New Mexico School for the Deaf needed coming off of a 52-16 loss in their prior game.
New Mexico School for the Deaf got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Lopez - Gonzalez out in front who scored 25 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Zion Holmes, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
New Mexico School for the Deaf's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Walatowa Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
New Mexico School for the Deaf will head out on the road to challenge Jemez Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Walatowa Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Chesterton Academy at 6:00 p.m.
