The North Fork Miners won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were outmatched by Roaring Fork on the road and fell 59-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Fork has scored all season.
Despite the loss, North Fork still got an impressive performance from Sidney Neff, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds.
North Fork has fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 3-5. As for Roaring Fork, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
North Fork and Aspen will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Aspen comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Roaring Fork, Roaring Fork and Grand Valley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Grand Valley will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
