The Terry Rangers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 33-7 loss at the hands of Magnolia West. While losing is never fun, Terry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 651st, while Magnolia West is ranked 272nd).
Terry Daniels was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Terry's defeat was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.8 points per game. As for Magnolia West, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terry will take on Fort Bend Kempner at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Bend Kempner is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Magnolia West, they will head out on the road to face off against Angleton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Angleton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
