The Adams Central Flying Jets will take on the Bluffton Tigers in a holiday battle at at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Adams Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Adams Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down South Adams 55-39 on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Flying Jets as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Ava Stafford went supernova for Adams Central, going 7 of 13 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and four steals. Those 30 points gave Stafford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kate Fisher, who posted 13 points in addition to six steals and five boards.
Adams Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Bluffton came tearing into Tuesday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Knights to the tune of 69-31. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.
Bluffton's win came from a few key players Adams Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Khloe Dick, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Stout, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Adams Central's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Bluffton, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Adams Central has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 21.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Bluffton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
