The Coral Springs Colts will challenge the Deerfield Beach Bucks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Coral Springs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Olympic Heights a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colts have posted since March 25th.

Angelo Painter tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Ruben Zuany was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, Deerfield Beach had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Flying L's.
Deerfield Beach also got a great performance from Joseph Yastine as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Easton Viveros, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Adrian Sosa, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Deerfield Beach was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
With the victory, Coral Springs broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-14. As for Deerfield Beach, their record is now 13-9.
Coral Springs was able to grind out a solid win over Deerfield Beach in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
