Basketball Recap: Brighton Continues Home Dominance on Friday

The Brighton Bengals blew past Mount Olive Christian 57-25 thanks in part to Williams, who posted eight points along with 15 rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Despite the loss, Mount Olive Christian still got an impressive performance from Dylan Lewis, who went 11 for 26 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 100% of Mount Olive Christian's points, marking the 30th time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Brighton's record is now 13-4. As for Mount Olive Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-20 record this season.

Brighton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-43 win against Christian Academy of Louisiana on the 25th. As for Mount Olive Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-35 defeat against Psalms Christian Academy on the 20th.
