The Flatirons Academy Bison waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Evangel Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 57-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Flatirons Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Emma Cox, who scored 29 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Flatirons Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabelle Rakers, who scored nine points along with seven steals.
Flatirons Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Evangel Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.
Flatirons Academy will take on Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Limon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Limon will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
