The Lowell Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 84-53 defeat at the hands of Andrean. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lowell in their matchups with Andrean: they've now lost eight in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lowell lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ezra Elenbaum. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Roan Vasko, who scored seven points.
Paul Gilvydis was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds for Andrean. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gilvydis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Austin, who scored 12 points along with six assists.
Lowell's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Andrean, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Lowell will head out on the road to face off against Whiting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lowell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. Crown Point has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 389 points over their last six matches.
