Rylen Orr was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Robbinsville is 2-1 when Orr posts eight or more strikeouts, but 2-5 otherwise. Orr was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, Robbinsville got a massive performance out of Quinn Jumper, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Jumper has posted since back in March of 2024. Easton Shuler was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Robbinsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Murphy fell victim to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Eagles.
