While Georgetown's win against Copperas Cove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-32 victory over the Bulldawgs on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldawgs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Georgetown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jett Walker, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Another passer making a difference was Kaleb McDougle, who threw for 216 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 78.9% of his passes.

Georgetown now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Copperas Cove, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Leander at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Copperas Cove, they will challenge Del Valle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
