Donelson Christian Academy and Nashville Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Donelson Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Donelson Christian Academy faced off against Goodpasture Christian on Monday. The Wildcats blew past the Cougars 9-2. The Wildcats have beaten the Cougars the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Bailey Goad made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Heather Scales was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Gracyn White was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Donelson Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goodpasture Christian only posted a batting average of .261.
Meanwhile, Nashville Christian hadn't done well against Friendship Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles never let the Commanders get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.
Like Donelson Christian Academy, Nashville Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Anadia Hinton. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over seven innings pitched. Hinton was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Hinton wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hillary Harris, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Donelson Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Nashville Christian, their record is now 4-7.
Donelson Christian Academy took their win against Nashville Christian when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
