When it comes to explaining why Brookfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shane Weber. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That was a full 44.6% of Brookfield's points, marking the 18th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Danny Ciriello, who scored 13 points along with three steals and three blocks.
Pomperaug is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Brookfield, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-7.
