Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for New Albany

New Albany had won two straight games and Kylen Knox did his part to make it three on Friday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 45-22 margin over the Pontotoc Warriors thanks in part to Knox, who rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 61 receiving yards. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 61 yards.

New Albany didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jay Boone and Jaylan Nesbit. William Hardy was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

New Albany's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Pontotoc, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, New Albany will face off against North Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 3.2 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Pontotoc, they will square off against Shannon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
