The Burlington Cougars will be playing at home against the Stratton Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Burlington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Burlington came up short against Limon and fell 60-49. Burlington has not had much luck with Limon recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Keziah Williams, who scored 22 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Adan Lopez-Mitchell, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Stratton put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Flagler, posting a 74-37 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Stratton as they're now sitting on five straight.
Burlington now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Stratton, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Burlington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Stratton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory.
