The Van Bulldogs were the 67-52 winner over the Tolsia Rebels when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Van was outmatched by Tolsia at home and fell 87-40. Van was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.
Parker Watts had a dynamite game for Tolsia, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Watts has scored at least 25% of Tolsia's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bray Mollette, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Van's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Tolsia, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Van will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chesapeake at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. Tolsia will be home for the holidays to greet Tug Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd.
