Washington Township faced South Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Senators put the hurt on the Satellites with a sharp 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Senators this season.

Washington Township never let South Central on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-10, 25-12.

Washington Township's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for South Central, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-2.

Coming up, Washington Township will take on New Prairie in a tournament on Saturday. As for South Central, they will square off against Culver Community at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Satellites surely won't give up without a fight.
