Crockett is 3-0 against the Longhorns since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Crockett Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Tarkington Longhorns at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crockett has three straight victories, the Longhorns have three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Crockett strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 70-51.
Crockett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Naomi Taylor out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 24 rebounds. Taylor is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tania Davis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists.
Meanwhile, Tarkington was the victim of a tough 56-34 loss at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday.
Crockett is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Tarkington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Crockett strolled past the Longhorns in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 54-38. Does Crockett have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
