Adding to the longest winning streak in AAA Region 2 this week, Carver beat Business Engineering Science Tech 38-32. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Carver and the Eagles played the most contested game in the league this week, with Carver eventually emerging with a 38-32 victory.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Peach County's Greg Williams and Tyler Gibson have proven to be a lethal combination. Williams has thrown for 1,987 yards this season, while Gibson has 45 catches for 950 yards. De'Eric Bell from Jackson leads the league in rushing with 1,070 yards.
Gibson of the the Trojans' is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 50 receiving yards in this week's game against Washington County to get there. He has recorded 45 catches for 950 yards this year.
Peach County's Williams is within 13 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against the Golden Hawks.
Henry County lost to Callaway 62-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
