Neither the Minooka Indians nor the Fremd Vikings could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Emma Best spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Minooka's draw makes their record 14-7-1 this season. As for Fremd, they moved theirs to 10-6-1.

Looking ahead, Minooka will face off against Downers Grove North at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Fremd, they are taking a road trip to take on Hersey at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
