Charleston Math & Science is on a three-game streak of home losses, the NaviGators a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Charleston Math & Science Riptide will take on the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Charleston Math & Science had to suffer through a rough 68-14 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Charleston Math & Science has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dalailyn Reed, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Peyton Webb was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-16, which was the final score in Lowcountry Leadership's tilt against the Chargers on Monday. While losing is never fun, Lowcountry Leadership can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Chargers are ranked ninth).
Charleston Math & Science's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Lowcountry Leadership, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.
Charleston Math & Science beat the NaviGators 54-41 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Charleston Math & Science repeat their success, or do the NaviGators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
