Hauser has gone a perfect 10-0 against Waldron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Jets will look to defend their home field against the Mohawks at 5:30 p.m. Hauser will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
On Monday, Hauser made easy work of Morristown and carried off a 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Jets, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Haven Hartwell was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Isabelle Brunner was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucie Asher, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Hauser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morristown only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Waldron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Edinburgh, falling 16-3.
Waldron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Milbourn, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run. Korrie Jones also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Hauser is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Waldron, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
Waldron's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hauser hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. It's a different story for Waldron, though, as they've only averaged .216. Will they be able to contain Hauser's hitters?
Everything went Hauser's way against Waldron in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Hauser made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Jets repeat their success, or do the Mohawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
