The Homewood Patriots won the last time they faced the Minor Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Homewood strolled past Minor with points to spare, taking the game 66-48.
Minor's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Mcclain, who scored 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Chatman, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Homewood is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Minor, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.
Homewood will head out on the road to square off against Jackson-Olin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson-Olin has now lost 19 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 7. As for Minor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Parker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
