The Paradise Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Whitesboro on the road to the tune of 52-25. Given Paradise's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Whitesboro is ranked 799th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Gazey Yates continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Mitschke, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Paradise has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Whitesboro, they have fallen quite a ways from their 26-10 record last season and are now at 3-8.
Paradise will be home for the holidays to greet S & S Consolidated at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. S & S Consolidated comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
