There's no place like home for the Tindley Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They skirted past Heritage Christian 47-45. For Tindley, this counts as revenge for the 51-47 loss Heritage Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another on Friday.
Leading Tindley to victory were Macky Robinson and Corde' White. Robinson scored 14 points along with four steals, while White scored eight points along with four steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Peters, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Taueg, who scored seven points.
Tindley pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tindley will challenge Victory College Prep on Saturday. Victory College Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Tindley is ranked 135th). As for Heritage Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Devon Rudolph and Peters.
