South Lenoir had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Everything went their way against the North Duplin Rebels as they made off with a 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Matthew Rhodes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Noah Rouse was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: South Lenoir kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.

South Lenoir pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for North Duplin, they moved to 9-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

South Lenoir has already played their next contest, a 12-11 victory against C.B. Aycock on the 21st. As for North Duplin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against North Lenoir on the 21st.
