Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Swampscott). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Northeast Metro RVT Knights an 18-0 shutout on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Big Blue as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Swampscott now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Northeast Metro RVT, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swampscott will head out to face off against Lynn English on Friday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Northeast Metro RVT, they will challenge Saugus at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
