There's no place like home for the Fossil Ridge Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 49-45 win over Keller Central on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Fossil Ridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Keller Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Malaiyah Foster. Despite the final result, she scored 27 points. Foster scored a full 60% of Keller Central's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zhoe Ouimette, who scored ten points.
Fossil Ridge pushed their record up to 15-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Keller Central, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Fossil Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Southlake Carroll at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Southlake Carroll presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fossil Ridge in Texas (Southlake Carroll is ranked 17th, while Fossil Ridge is ranked 284th). As for Keller Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Timber Creek at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
