The Dwight Trojans's four-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They breezed by Streator at home to the tune of 50-23. That's another feather in the cap for Dwight, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Dwight got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makayla Wahl-Seabert out in front who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Bean, who scored 12 points.
Dwight's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Streator, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dwight will take on Putnam County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Putnam County's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Dwight's offense will have their work cut out for Dwight. Streator won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Peotone at 6:45 p.m. on December 7th. Peotone presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Streator in Illinois (Peotone is ranked 163rd, while Streator is ranked 670th).
