The Jimtown Jimmies will face off against the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Jimtown has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Jimtown came out on top against Prairie Heights on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Jimmies skirted past the Panthers 7-6.

Claire Carlson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Layla Winrott, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Brooklyn Gillespie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Jimtown lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Lakewood Park Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-0 to Lakeland.
Jimtown's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lakewood Park Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Lakewood Park Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Jimtown has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game.
