The Ontario Christian Knights won against the Linfield Christian Lions last Tuesday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Ontario Christian walked away with a 74-62 victory over Linfield Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ontario Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Yang, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yang has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Max Ma, who scored 17 points along with three blocks and two steals.
Despite the loss, Linfield Christian still got an impressive performance from Drew Pierce, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. Xavier Cox was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Ontario Christian and bumps their season record up to 15-9. As for Linfield Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.
Ontario Christian will head out on the road to take on Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Ontario Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Linfield Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Woodcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. Linfield Christian is facing Woodcrest Christian at the right time seeing as Woodcrest Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
