In what's become a running theme this season, the Westminster Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on Garden Grove with a sharp 68-47 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Westminster has posted since December 15, 2023.
Westminster got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Nguyen out in front who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Nguyen scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Eric Hoang, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Westminster is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Garden Grove, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
Westminster will be playing at home against Katella at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garden Grove, they will head out on the road to challenge Segerstrom at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
