The Nativity BVM Green Wave came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Tri-Valley with points to spare, taking the game 74-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nativity BVM to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trey Keating, who scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Keating has scored at least a third of Nativity BVM's points. Mike Quirk was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Nativity BVM pushed their record up to 10-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Tri-Valley, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nativity BVM will take on Shenandoah Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Shenandoah Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 661st, while Nativity BVM is ranked 245th). Tri-Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Weatherly at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Weatherly is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
