Culbertson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Plenny Williams, who scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Ian Snyder was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals and two blocks.
Culbertson has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Fairview, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Culbertson will take on MonDak [Westby/Grenora] at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (MonDak [Westby/Grenora] is ranked 147th, while Culbertson is ranked 125th). As for Fairview, they will be playing at home against Malta at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Malta knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matches -- so hopefully Fairview likes a good challenge.
