The Rutland Hurricanes had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They secured a 71-67 W over Jordan. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Keadon Knight was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Brooks, who scored 15 points.
Rutland's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rutland and Northeast will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Northeast is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Jordan, they will head out on the road to face off against Kendrick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Kendrick is ranked 529th, while Jordan is ranked 505th).
