Omaha Westside can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lincoln Southeast Knights an 8-0 shutout. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Omaha Westside got a great performance from Harry Yeager as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Schulz, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Tagge, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Omaha Westside's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lincoln Southeast, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Omaha Westside will challenge Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Discoverers at the right time seeing as the Discoverers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
