The Little Axe Indians will challenge the Tecumseh Savages at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Little Axe had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Lexington put an end to it on Friday. The Indians fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-2. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Little Axe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Hicks, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Hicks has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Tecumseh came out on top against McLoud on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Savages put the hurt on the Redskins with a sharp 9-1 victory. The Savages might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.
Zant Shirey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Lane Steward was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Kadyn Prado was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Tecumseh has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Little Axe, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Tecumseh's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Little Axe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. It's a different story for Tecumseh, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain Little Axe's hitters?
Little Axe suffered a grim 22-0 defeat to Tecumseh in their previous matchup back in April of 2021. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
