Make it ten blowout wins for the Boerne Greyhounds this season. They were the clear victor by a 58-34 margin over Bandera. The win was nothing new for Boerne as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Casen Hoegemeyer was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Hank Hendrix was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Defeat or not, Bandera got some senior leadership from Isaac Segura and Corben Gonzales. Segura scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks, while Gonzales. scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Holden, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Boerne's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. As for Bandera, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Wimberley the next time they take the court. Bandera will host Wimberley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Boerne will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
