A.L. Brown got a massive performance out of Kennedy Yow, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Marynda Blackwelder was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3.
A.L. Brown hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Hickory Ridge won against South Iredell last Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again last Thursday. Hickory Ridge walked away with a 7-4 win over South Iredell.
Embler Kristyn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Morgan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Hailey Faulkenberry also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Hickory Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for A.L. Brown, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
