This season hasn't been kind to the Sheridan Rams, who are still winless after their fifth match. They lost to Estes Park on the road by a decisive 61-42 margin on Saturday. Sheridan lost against Estes Park in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 82-45 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Sheridan saw an underclassman step up: Armando Monarrez scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Emilio Cruz was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Sheridan's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Estes Park, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Sheridan will be playing in front of their home fans against William Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Estes Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Front Range Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Front Range Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
