The Castle Rock Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Stevenson with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. The win was just what Castle Rock needed coming off of a 58-18 defeat in their prior contest.
Kelsey Poyner was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-9 from long range and dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kynsi Bayes, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Castle Rock's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Stevenson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Castle Rock will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. La Center is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Stevenson, they will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seton Catholic will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
