Hesperia extended their home winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Dylanna Akwaboah. The Scorpions put the hurt on the Jurupa Hills Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Akwaboah, who had 13 digs and six kills. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season.

Hesperia's got stronger as the match went on, holding Jurupa Hills to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-12.

Hesperia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Ventroni, who had nine digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kitana Tapopo, who had nine digs and two aces.

Hesperia's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Jurupa Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Hesperia has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Aquinas on the 23rd. As for Jurupa Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Victor Valley on the 26th.
