Science Hill took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 27-20 victory over the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones. That's more bragging rights for the Hilltoppers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Fighting Cyclones players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Whitehead, who picked up 90 receiving yards, and also threw for 74 yards and one TD. Zack Wallin was another key pass catcher, picking up 97 receiving yards and one score.

Science Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-12 win against Morristown-Hamblen West on the 29th. As for Elizabethton, they have also already played their next contest, a 26-21 victory against Tennessee on the 29th.
